Not to exchange tenge to dollar on speculative rate: Pavlodar oblast governor
PAVLODAR. February 5. KAZINFORM /Vera Livintsova/ Governor of Pavlodar oblast Bakytzhan Sagintayev visited shops and bureaus of exchange of the oblast; Kazinform reports.
There was no deficit of foreign currency, a unified scale to the dollar, euro and Russian ruble in the exchanges. In some exchanges the dollar costs KZT 165, and in the others ? a course was higher. The euro was put at KZT 190-210. A selling rate of the ruble amounted to KZT 4.9-5.5. But currency purchase was carried out by old prices ? KZT 125-126 to the dollar, KZT 160 ? to the euro and KZT 3.6 to the ruble.
In provision shops nobody hurried to buy products. But businessmen of a specialized saloon informed the governor that they will raise prices on household appliances on 5-7 items, electronics will become more expensive by 25 percent.
Bakytzhan Sagintayev considers that tenge devaluation is a lawful process. Enterprises-exporters will profit at the expense of tenge devaluation. Their production will become more competitive, production - commercially viable.
The governor advised the residents not to hurry to purchase foreign currency on speculative prices, to wait for establishment of a real exchange rate. He noted that the executive bodies will control the bureaus of exchange.
