1923 - The first issue of the Soviet Steppe daily newspaper is published. On January 20, 1932 the newspaper is renamed as Kazakhstanskaya Pravda.
1998- The first module of the ISS - the functional cargo block Zarya - is launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome.
2009 – Kazakhstan’s first toll highway Astana-Burabai is commissioned.
2012 – Honorary Consulate of Ukraine opens its doors in Karaganda.
2012 – The Kulyash Baisseitova National Opera and Ballet Theatre hosts the opening ceremony of the Camerata tempo, I international festival of modern composers of the CIS and Turkic-speaking states. Musicians from Kazakhstan, Russia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tatarstan, Tajikistan, the U.S., Belgium, Georgia, Türkiye, Great Britain and France participate in the event.
2012 – The film “Student” by director Darezhan Omirbayev receives a special prize of the jury of the Lisbon & Estoril Film Festival in Portugal.
2014 – Kazakhstan establishes diplomatic relations with the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe and Sierra Leone.
2017 – Kazakhstan is officially invited to join the OECD Committee for Educational Policy.
2022 – Kazakhstan holds nationwide election of the President of the country.
2022 - Kazakh dancing duo - Maxim Zhilenkov and Arina Molochnikova - become winners of the World Sports Dance Championships in Salaspils (Latvia). The couple represents the Karaganda club TSK Sofia. Athletes from 32 countries gather in Salaspils for the competition.
