Kazakh Nuclear Medicine Centre launches production of 4th radiopharmaceutical agent

One more radiopharmaceutical agent 18F-DOPA was officially put into production at the Nuclear Medicine Centre in the Kazakh capital, Kazinform News Agency cites the official Telegram Channel of the Department of Presidential Affairs of Aibek Dadebayev.

The radiopharmaceutical agent is produced in Kazakhstan for the first time and is called to help doctors and patients to identify neuroendocrine tumors which are difficult to recognize.

The Nuclear Medicine Centre, founded in 2022 at the ground of the hospital of the medical centre of the Department of Presidential Affairs, produces four radiopharmaceutical agents such as 18F-FDG, 18F-NaF, 11C-Met, and 18F-DOPA.
