The minister referred to official data provided by the Russian Interior Ministry that 650 thousand migrants from Kyrgyzstan were registered in 2023, and at the end of this year 350 thousand people were officially recorded.

“Many Kyrgyz left Russia and went to Turkey, America and European countries. We are now holding talks with Germany, because this country is very interested in attracting migrants. However, we are interested in the return of migrant workers to their home country because we are implementing major projects that will create additional jobs. For example, the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway will create more than 30 thousand jobs, the construction of the Kambar-Ata HPP is expected to provide 5 thousand jobs. Of course, we will not be able to bring them by force, but we are creating all conditions for them to work here comfortably,” the minister said.
