Nur Otan delegation had several meetings in Vienna

ANA.  October 21. KAZINFORM A delegation of Nur Otan People's Democratic Party headed by its First Vice Chairman Darkhan Kaletayev has had a number of meetings in Vienna within its working visit to Austria.

As the press service of the Party informs, the delegation members met with State Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Finances, Chairman of the International Committee of Social Democratic Party of Austria Andreas Schieder. The parties focused on development of cooperation between the ruling party of Kazakhstan and ruling coalition of Austria.

At a meeting with President of the PACE Peter Shieder the parties debated issues of interaction within such European institutes as the PACE and the Europarliament.

At a meeting with the Secretary General of the OSCE Mark Perren de Brishambo at the OSCE headquarters D. Kaletayev informed of the current activity of Nur Otan and its major initiatives.

In turn, M. Brishambo expressed interest in the plans of Kazakhstan ruling party on the post of the chairman of the General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties. As is known, Nur Otan will chair this organization during the period from Nov 2009 to Nov 2010. The organization unites 240 parties from 50 countries of the world. According to Brishambo, this fact will undoubtedly positively influence establishment of contacts between the European and Asian political structures during Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OSCE.
