Nurgissa Adiletuly grabs gold at 2024 IWF World Weightlifting Championships in Manama

Kazakhstani weightlifter Nurgissa Adiletuly settled for gold in the men’s 96 kg weight division of the 2024 IWF World Weightlifting Championships in Manama, Bahrain, Kazinform News Agency cites the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Nurgissa grabbed gold after lifting 388 kg (174kg+214kg) in total.

Revaz Davitadze of Georgia took second place lifting 387 kg (177kg+210kg), followed by Ali Alipour of Iran with 387 kg (173kg+214kg).

It was earlier reported that Alexey Churkin won a silver medal in the men’s 81 kg finals at the 2024 World Weightlifting Championships.

Recall that Kazakhstan took second place in the men's event of the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships 2024.
