Nurkhat Kushimov named new General Manager of Binance Kazakhstan
Nurkhat Kushimov has been appointed the General Manager of Binance Kazakhstan by the Astana Financial Services Authority (AFSA, Kazinform News Agency reports.
Prior to this appointment, Nurkhat Kushimov held key positions at the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC).
In 2018, he worked at the AIFC Exchange (AIX) and oversaw the regulation of issuers, as well as the preparation of Kazakhstani and international companies for IPO. Since 2019, he has been the Registrar of Companies and a member of the AIFC Board, supervising the development of financial technologies and regulation.
Kushimov is an alumnus of the Bolashak Scholarship Program and holds a Master of Law degree from the University of Cambridge.
In his new role, he will focus on the strategic development of Binance Kazakhstan, strengthening cooperation with regulators and the government, and promoting innovation in the country's digital asset market. He will also oversee the development of the company's products and services and will focus on expanding educational initiatives in the field of blockchain technologies and cryptocurrencies. He will also work to strengthen cooperation with financial institutions and partners, contributing to a sustainable growth of the country's cryptocurrency market.
