The agreement on the visit was reached during the meeting between Obama and Medvedev in London in April ahead of the G20 Summit. Medvedev said he was pleased by the first acquaintance with Obama and was looking forward to having an interesting and productive meeting with him in Moscow. "I'm really glad that I've got acquainted with the U.S. president; it was a good meeting," the Russian head of state said, adding, "It seems to me that we've managed to establish contact.? "Of course, this is only the first meeting; Moscow is ahead, so let's wait and see," he said. "But it is true that we have the same views on many issues," the Russian president stressed. "Certainly, disagreements also persist," Medvedev noted, adding that one could hardly expect all problems to be resolved right away. "The main thing is that the U.S. president can listen and give exact answers to specific questions; this is a valuable experience for any leader," the Russian president noted. "I will be looping forward to seeing my American colleague in Moscow," Medvedev said. "I'm certain that it will be an interesting and productive meeting," he added. Medvedev stressed that the agenda of the visit would be broad and would include the preparation of a framework agreement on strategic offensive weapons to replace START. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov was received in the White House last week to discuss the preparation of Obama?s visit to Moscow; Kazinform cites ITAR-TASS.
