1997 – The Kazakh President’s state-of-the-nation address ‘Prosperity, security, and ever-growing well-being of all Kazakhstanis’, also named as ‘Kazakhstan-2030’ is made public.
1999 – Kazakhstan holds the elections of deputies of the Majilis of Parliament of Kazakhstan, including via party lists.
2000 – The Eurasian Economic Union consisting of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan, is founded.
2013 – The jubilee exhibition of people’s painter of Kazakhstan Aubakir Issmailov opens at the UNESCO headquarters within the 192nd session of the Organization’s Executive Board in Paris.
2014 – Two officers of the Kazbat Kazakhstani peacekeeping battalion are sent to West Sahara as UN mission observers.
2016 – Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Georgia establish the International Association of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, with its office in Astana.
2018 – At the opening ceremony of the 6th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev awarded the first prize ‘For the Contribution to Interreligious Dialogue’ to the Pontifical Council of the Vatican.
2019 – Almaty hosts the first-ever international figure skating tournament ‘Memorial of Denis Ten’ with the participation of athletes from 18 countries.
