Rector of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy Myrzabek RYSBEKOV was born in 1958 in Taldy-Kurgan region. He graduated from the Alma-Ata State Medical Institute and the All-Union Research Center of Surgery. He started his medical career as a surgeon at the Alakol Central District Hospital in Taldykorgan region in 1984. He worked for the All-Union Research Center of Surgery, Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, Syzganov Research Center of Surgery, South Kazakh State Medical Academy, Astana Medical University and Kazakh Innovative University. He took up his current post in February 2018.

Director of the Republican State Enterprise on the Right of Economic Management GISHAGI of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gulzhakhan BIMENDINA was born in 1969 in South Kazakhstan region. She graduated from the Moscow State University Land Use Planning. Throughout her career she worked at North Kazakh and Akmola regional land authorities. She held posts at the Kazakh Agency for Land Resources Management, Ministry of Regional Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ministry of National Economy, Ministry of Agriculture. She was appointed to her last post in 2022.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to France Gulsara ARYSTANKULOVA was born in 1971 in Zhambyl region. Gulsara Arystankulova is a graduate of the Kazakh Ablai Khan State University of International Relations and World Languages, the Strasbourg University of Humanitarian Sciences under the Bolashaq Program and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Throughout her diplomatic career Gulsara Arystankulova served at the Kazakh Embassies in Belgium and France and worked for the Foreign Affairs Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the President’s Executive Officer of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Member of the Higher Chamber of Auditors of the Republic of Kazakhstan Rustem NURPEISSOV was born in 1971 in Akmola region. He graduated from the Akmola Finance and Economy College, the Ualikhano Kokshetau State University and the Buketov Karaganda State University. Throughout his career he worked in the tax, financial and audit authorities. Prior to taking up his recent post in November 2022 he served as the Member of Accounts Committee for Control over Execution of the Republican Budget.

Kazakhstani researcher in legal sphere, Doctor (Legal Science), professor of the Gumilyov Eurasian National University Yenlik NURGALIYEVA was born in 1947 in Kokshetau region. She is a graduate of the Leningrad State University. For the most part of her career she worked at the Karaganda State University (1973-1992). In 2009 she became a professor of the Gumilyov Eurasian National Unviersity. She authored over 250 research papers and 20 textbooks on law.

Writer and one of the founders of modern Kazakh literature, poet, prominent statesman Saken SEIFULLIN was born on this day 129 years ago in Karaganda region. He studied at Nildinsk Russian-Kazakh School as well as at colleges in Akmolinsk and Omsk. In 1914 Seifullin became one of the leaders of the first culture and enlightenment society of the Kazakh youth ‘Birlik’ (Unity) in Omsk against the oppression of the Russian Empire. He taught at the Bugulinsk school, founded ‘Jas qazaq’ (Young Kazakh) political and cultural society and helped launch ‘Tirshilik’ (Life) newspaper. In 1918 Seifullin was sent to a prison in Omsk, but managed to escape and returned to the aul where he was born and then moved to Taraz. Two years later he was elected as a member of the presidium of the KASSR Central Election Commission. Afterwards, he worked as an editor at local newspapers and magazines. Seifullin was subjected to repressions and executed by shooting in Almaty. He was exonerated only in 1958. Theaters, schools, libraries and streets across Kazakhstan are named in his honor.

Writer, translator, journalist, member of the USSR and Kazakhstan Writers Union Zhaik BEKTUROV was born on this day 111 years ago. He was born in Kyzylagash aul in Akmola region. He attended rural schools and penned his first articles and stories in 1928. He worked as a teacher and editor of several newspapers. He became a member of the Kazakhstan Writers Union in 1959. He spent several years in prison based on wrongful accusations and his named was cleared only in 1955. Bekturov wrote research papers about the founders of the Kazakh national literature, namely Akhmet Baitursynuly, Magzhan Zhumabayev, Myrzakyp Dulatov. He also translated novels by foreign authors into the Kazakh language. He was one of the first writers to depict the truth about the tragedy of political repressions of prominent sons of the Kazakh people, including Baitursynuly, Zhumabayev, Dulatov and other
