ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Office International des Epizooties has allocated Kazakhstan more than 800 thousand euros, this was reported by Vice-Minister of Agriculture Gulmira Isayeva after an extended meeting of the Senate's committee on agriculture, environment and rural development.

"To date, the OIE has allocated more than 800 thousand euros to Kazakhstan in the form of grants. The first grant is aimed at the training of veterinary specialists. Kazakh students will have an opportunity to study at the expense of OIE funds in veterinary schools of France (Toulouse and Lyon). The second grant will be used for the improvement of veterinary legislation," said G.Isayeva. According to her words, the legislation of Kazakhstan has been amended in accordance with the recommendations of the OIE experts. The Vice-Minister also announced that the third grant of the OIE - "twinning lab" - means that the leading laboratory of the OIE took patronage over the national reference laboratory of Kazakhstan. The leading laboratory of the OIE is located in Italy.
