Official statement of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Palestine
The Embassy of the State of Palestine in the Republic of Kazakhstan shared the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine on the ongoing situation, Kazinform Agency reports.
“We have repeatedly warned of the consequences of blocking the political horizon and depriving the Palestinian people of the opportunity to realize their legitimate right to self-determination and statehood. We also warned of the consequences of daily provocations and attacks, ongoing terrorism by settlers and occupying forces, as well as raids on the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Christian and Islamic shrines.
Security, stability and peace in our region is ensured by the end of the Israeli occupation of the land of the State of Palestine with its capital in East Jerusalem on the lines of 1967 and the recognition of the people's right to independence and sovereignty,” the statement reads.
According to the statement, Israel's rejection of signed agreements and non-compliance with resolutions of international legitimacy led to the destruction of the peace process, the lack of a solution to the Palestinian issue during 75 years of suffering and displacement, and the continuation of a policy of double standards.
“The silence of the international community regarding the criminal and racist actions of the Israeli occupying forces against the Palestinian people and the continued injustice and oppression suffered by the Palestinian people are the cause of the explosive situation and the lack of peace. The peace process requires justice, freedom and independence for our Palestinian people, the return of refugees and the full implementation of resolutions, in accordance with international legitimacy,” the statement reads.
