Official visit of Kazakh Resident to UAE finishes

ASTANA. March 17. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ Accomplishing the official visit to the UAE Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev gave an interview to the Emirati Mass Media.

The President said that in the global crisis situation the UAE and Kazakhstan reconsidered the projects, upon which there were reached agreements. ?The crisis will not last forever, and we intend to keep the strategic direction of our cooperation?, he said. ?Kazakhstan and the UAE are interested in diversification of their economies. It is important not just to sell raw materials but make goods with high added value. And there are good prospects in oil and gas processing, creation of petrochemical businesses, and manufacture of agro products in Kazakhstan?, N.Nazarbayev said. Representatives of the foreign Mass Media asked the Kazakh President's opinion about introduction of the world currency, development of the energy industry in the country, introduction of Islamic financing, and antirecessionary measures. Establishment of the Islamic Bank in Kazakhstan, participation of Emirati companies in the construction of petrochemical project on the Caspian Sea, implementation of infrastructure projects, and other questions were discussed during the visit of Kazakhstan President to the UAE.
