Oil companies without associated gas disposal program not to obtain license for 2010 nature management
ASTANA. January 16. KAZINFORM /Kurmat Samarkhan/ Minister for Environment of Kazakhstan Nurlan Iskakov has urged not to give licenses for environmental management for 2010 to oil companies which have no program of associated gas disposal. He made it public at the session of the interdepartmental commission on stabilization of environment quality; Kazinform reports.
?We have the Environmental Code where the permit for environmental management contains six points. Three of them are on emission and wastes, and the rest three are on execution of environmental measures. It is a certain legislation that fixes relations between the state and enterprises. That is why all oil companies flaring gas will not obtain a license for environmental management for 2010 without the program of associated gas disposal?, the head of the Ministry noted.
?According to the statistics, Chinese Company CNPC alone annually burns gas amounted to USD 80 thousand. Herein, human settlements live without gas. It turns out that in global crisis we do not use raw material we extract?, the Minister resented.
