Ombudsman, UNICEF reps discuss issues of integrated system for protection of children's rights
The Ombudsman noted the importance of the fruitful cooperation that has developed in recent years between his agency and the UNICEF. In particular, there have been conducted the study on violence against children in institutions, developed manuals and other guidance documents for monitoring children's institutions.
Particular attention was paid to the implementation of joint work to strengthen the child protection system in the country in the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the Commissioner for Human Rights and the UN Children's Fund in Kazakhstan.
The participants discussed the priority aspects of further cooperation in the context of the implementation of the tasks put forward by the President in Kazakhstan-2050 Strategy and in his address to the people "Nurly Zhol - The path to the future".
The sides expressed their common intention to strengthen collaboration in the creation of a sustainable and integrated system for children's rights protection in Kazakhstan.
