OMV working group for coop with Kazakhstan held 3rd session in Germany

MAGDEBURG. April 23. KAZINFORM /Yuliya Chernova/ The Business Council within the Association of the Central and Eastern Europe (OMV – Ost- und Mitteleuropa Verein) held its first session Wednesday in Frankfurt am Main. The Business Council was established on the basis of the Memorandum signed earlier between the OMV and ?Atameken? National Economic Chamber.

That very day the OMV working group for cooperation with Kazakhstan held the third session. Members of the working group and a Kazakh delegation with Atameken Chairman Azat Peruashev in the head took part in the session. A.Peruashev reported on the recovery measures taken by Kazakhstan's Government. N.Onzhanov briefed the members of the group on the main provisions of the President?s Address to the Nation. Councilor of the Kazakh Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Alibek Bakayev informed on the taken tax preferences in Kazakhstan in relation to the domestic and foreign business that promotes the attractiveness of the Kazakh economy. Participants of the session noted that timeliness and positive effect of the measures taken by the Kazakh Government. Representatives of major German companies told about their experience of working in Kazakhstan. The main purpose of the session was to resume and renew credit facilities on export crediting of transactions between German companies and Kazakhstan, where important role belongs to the German export-crediting banks supplying equipment to Kazakhstan. For this purpose the working group jointly with the Atameken Chamber initiates cooperation between the mentioned German crediting institutions and the banks of Kazakhstan.
