One-third of Akmola region population registered ? Kokshetau

KOKSHETAU. March 2. KAZINFORM /Zhanmurat Zhanaidarov/ According to the Akmola region Census Department one-third of the population, about 240 thousand people, have been recorded in the region, Kazinform correspondent reports.

During three day the census campaign has covered 44 111 people in Kokshetau, 25 000 people ? in Shchuchinsk, 20 000 people in Stepnogorsk, 17 000 people in Atbassar and 15 000 people in Zerendy district, from which 111 000 people are the indigenous citizens. 2 476 counters are involved in the census, 530 transport vehicles were provided for this campaign where 319 police inspectors ensure security of the census takers.
