Opportunities for Korean investors outlined at Kazakhstan-Korea Business Forum

On Monday, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of “KAZAKH INVEST” JSC Madiyar Sultanbek spoke at the Kazakhstan-Korea Business Forum, organized with the support of the Korea Importers Association “KOIMA”, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from KAZAKH INVEST’s press service.

The business forum was also attended by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Cho Tae-ik, representatives of “QazTrade” JSC and the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as business communities from both countries.

In his speech, Madiyar Sultanbek emphasized the high level of investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and South Korea and outlined the key advantages and opportunities for Korean investors in Kazakhstan.

“We place great importance on investor protection, with bilateral investment agreements with 47 countries and tax agreements with 55 states. For Korean companies, this means a stable and secure investment environment. More than 49,000 foreign-capital companies are already registered in the country, providing Korean investors with reliable partnership networks and developed infrastructure for successful business operations,” noted the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board.

In his speech, Madiyar Sultanbek also paid special attention to Kazakhstan’s strategic location, which provides access to key global markets, as well as the development of the renewable energy sector and the increasing productivity in the agro-industry.

In conclusion, the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board urged South Korean companies to take advantage of all the opportunities for mutual growth that Kazakhstan offers.
