OSCE and Kazakhstan to settle many urgent problems in 2010 - Sec Gen Perrin de Brichambaut

sp;   ASTANA. November 12. KAZINFORM. Kazakh Secretary of State - Foreign Affairs Minister Kanat Saudabayev has met with OSCE Secretary General Marc Perrin de Brichambaut in Astana today; Kazakh MFA's press service told Kazinform.

The parties considered the progress of preparation for Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OSCE. The Minister of Foreign Affairs said that Kazakhstan held significant activities in the preparation work for the chairmanship that was defined by President Nursultan Nazarbayev as a nationwide strategic project.

Mr. Marc Perrin de Brichambaut noted that next year would be very intense for Kazakhstan. He expressed confidence that the OSCE and Kazakhstan would manage to resolve many problems and prevent possible crisis situations.

They also exchanged opinions on the agenda of the forthcoming OSCE ministerial meeting in Athens that will be devoted to the issues of security, human rights and etc.
