OSCE Centre trains Kazakh-language journalists on new media tools
The training courses will help the journalists from the regions learn about legal and ethical aspects of online journalism, as well as about various aspects of the Internet usage, including how to create blogs and effectively use social networks, the press service of the OSCE Centre in Astana said.
Some twenty journalists representing media outlets from Kazakhstan's south chosen through a competitive process will take part in the two-day course organized by the OSCE Centre in Astana in co-operation with the Minber Public Foundation.
Similar training courses will also be held in Petropavl (northern Kazakhstan), Oskemen (eastern Kazakhstan) and Atyrau (western Kazakhstan).
The training courses build on similar activities for regional journalists carried out in 2010-2011.
