OSCE member states should reaffirm their media freedom commitments: D.Mijatovic

ASTANA. November 28. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ "It is time for the OSCE member states to reaffirm their media freedom commitments", Dunja Mijatovic, the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media said at the OSCE Review Conference in Astana on Sunday.

"Today the problem still lies in the fact that it is necessary to ensure full freedom of mass media outlined in the OSCE declarations", D.Mijatovic said.

She noted that on the eve o f the OSCE Summit it was important to breathe new life into the universal commitments including the declaration on media freedom.
