OSCE/ODIHR observation mission positively estimates CEC activity - K.Turgankulov
ASTANA. March 24. KAZINFORM /Askar Bimendin/ Experts of the OSCE/ODIHR observation mission have prepared an interim report on monitoring of the early presidential elections of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in which they positively estimated the work of the Central Election Commission (CEC). CEC Chairman Kuandyk Turgankulov has said it at a briefing today.
"The OSCE/ODIHR mission promulgated this document on March 21 and it is of informative and neutral character. It stresses that the Central Election Commission prepares for the elections, holds regular sessions, which are available for the public, representatives of mass media and observers, and weekly briefings for press and maintain an informative website," the CEC Chairman outlined.
Besides, he added that "the ODIHR experts positively estimate the CEC work on training of the elections organizers as well as the large-scale campaign to raise awareness of voters of the upcoming elections."
