OSCE one of most effective world organizations: J.Soares

sp;ASTANA. November 10. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ A meeting of Deputies of the Kazakh Parliament with Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE Joao Soares has been held in the Parliament Tuesday.

Addressing the Deputies, J.Soares noted that the Parliamentary Assembly was always supporting Kazakhstan in its intention to take up the post of the OSCE chairman in 2010.

"We are glad to see Kazakhstan ready for this work today and is fully involved in preparatory works, absolutely ready to meet the challenges faced by the Organization today", he said.

J.Soares briefed on the role of the OSCE in the modern world, stressing the efforts of the Organization in settlement of many conflicts. According to him, the OSCE is one of the most effective international organizations.

At the end of his speech, J.Soares wished Kazakhstan successful chairmanship in the OSCE.
