'We reconsidered the concept of providing assistance in the sphere of police activities which was planned to be rendered by the OSCE to Kyrgyzstan. It was approved ten days ago by the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna', Herbert Salber said.

According to this new concept 30-31 policemen will be sent to Kyrgyzstan instead of earlier planned 52. The period of the mission was also changed from 4 months to a year.

H. Salber emphasized that the new concept was called 'Kyrgyzstan Community Security Initiative'. Presently, there are already 8 police advisors in Kyrgyzstan.
