OSCE took part in 28 elections under Kazakhstan's presidency

ASTANA. December 20. KAZINFORM /Zhanna Korkitova/ The OSCE took part in the 28 elections with Kazakhstan presiding during this year instead of planned 15. Director of the OSCE Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Ambassador at Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Serzhan Abdykarimov said it at the meeting of the debating club on 'Astana Summit - milestone in the OSCE development'.

'It should be mentioned that more than 150 events have been held with our participation, including the high-level visits. More than 40 visits to the OSCE member states were held by OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Secretary of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabayev. Besides, we planned 15 elections this year but held 28. The last campaign we had was presidential elections in Belarus', the Ambassador said.

'According to the opinions of the OSCE partners Kazakhstan's presidency demonstrated the style of confident and effective political manager of the OSCE throughout the year. Before the presidency we developed a dynamic and ambitious program that we realized during while presiding in the Organization', S. Abdykarimov added.
