Spearheaded by Founder Club and Azerbaijan’s Franchising Association, the forum brought together representatives of business and government institutions from the Turkic-speaking countries and other regions of the world.

This year’s forum presents the first products under the brand Made in Turan. In general, food and non-food products as well as a number of services are set to be exported under this new brand, said Jamid Movsumov, chairman of Azerbaijan’s Franchising Association.

Representing Kazakhstan at the event were Assan Zhakishyev, chief of staff of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan, Zhanar Utepova, department head at QazTrade, and a number of Kazakhstani entrepreneurs.

According to Zhakishyev, under the national strategy Kazakhstan eyes boosting its share of e-trade to up to 20% in 2030 through supporting local online retailers, developing courier services and improving transport and logistics infrastructure. The Kazakh government already approved the comprehensive plan for the development of e-commerce until 2027 with a focus on improving logistics and storage facilities.

E-commerce is changing global trade and Kazakhstan positions itself as a key player in this process. As the digital landscape evolves, we’re committed to improving our platforms of e-commerce, simplifying logistics chains and promoting cross-border trade. Through this forum, we look forward to exploring opportunities for cooperation in e-commerce, export and digital trade. We welcome the participants to benefit from the fast-growing sector of e-commerce in Kazakhstan and its potential for international partnerships, added Zhakishyev.
