Otunbayeva thanked Kazakhstan for evacuation of Kyrgyz citizens from Japan

ASTANA. March 16. KAZINFORM President of Kyrgyzstan Roza Otunbayeva has thanked Kazakhstan for evacuation of Kyrgyz citizens from Japan today during a telephone conversation with Kazakh Secretary of State - Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev, the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry reported.

Roza Otunbayeva expressed gratitude to Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev for permanent help and support to her country including the evacuation of Kyrgyz citizens from Japan held on March 15, 2011.

A number of bilateral cooperation issues was discussed during the conversation as well. The sides exchanged views on the situation in Central Asia. The interlocutors discussed realization of agreements achieved at the highest level on assistance to Kyrgyzstan in social and economic development. Regarding the cooperation in multilateral format, in particular, within the SCO which Kazakhstan presides in this year the officials have discussed the preparation process of the anniversary Summit of the Organization scheduled for summer this year in Astana.
