Over 100, 000 Kazakhstanis visited EU countries, 2008

ASTANA. March 20. KAZINFORM. /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ More than 100, 000 Kazakhstan citizens visited European countries last year. Kazakhstan?s Border Guard Service presented the data for 2008 at the session on the issues of visa policy of Kazakhstan?s Foreign Affairs Ministry.

The largest flow of Kazakhstan tourists fell on Russia (2.33 mln people). About 900, 000 citizens visited Kyrgyzstan, 400, 000 visited China, 160, 000 Kazakhstan visitors were registered in Turkey. "Last year around 100, 000 citizens visited the countries of Europe, including Germany - 42, 000, the Netherlands - 28, 000 , Britain - 13, 000. The Border Guard Service offered approximate figures since the Schengen visa allows visiting several countries entering the Schengen zone.
