Over 120 countries to participate in World Ocean Conference in Indonesia
JAKARTA. February 26. KAZINFORM More than 120 countries will take part in the World Ocean Conference to be held on May 11-15 in Indonesia, Indonesian Fisheries Minister Freddy Numberi said here on Thursday.
The maritime world symposium, that would be conducted in Manado, the capital of North Sulawesi province, will discuss 32 topics including saving the ocean from global warming and climate change by involving a number of experts with international reputation, according to the organizing committee.
"The event aims at conducting marine conservation as an effort to save the earth," Freddy said after a hearing in the parliament, adding "during the discussion we will see how the world leader to save the earth."
The event would then be followed by an exhibition, displaying the beauty of underwater of Sulawesi, so called the Bunaken Sales in August, said Freddy; Kazinform cites Xinhua.
