Over 13 thsd cases of HIV infection registered in Kyrgyzstan
As of Oct. 1, 2023, 13 thousand 30 cases of human immunodeficiency virus infection are officially registered in Kyrgyzstan, including 12 thousand 272 Kyrgyz citizens, the Republican Center for Control of Hemocontact Viral Hepatitis and HIV reported, Kabar reports.
Thus, 3,233 people with the virus died during the entire period of epidemic surveillance.
Today in Kyrgyzstan, 80% of people living with the disease know their HIV status, the report said.
