Over 160 people contract measles in a month in Pavlodar rgn

 Pavlodar region observes growing cases of measles, mostly among kids under 5 years old, Kazinform News Agency reports. 

Since the beginning of the year, Pavlodar region has registered around 300 measles cases. 165 people contracted measles in November, and 32 in December.

Ekibastuz has reported 121 measles cases, Pavlodar - 106, Aksu - 49, Bayanaul district - 9, Pavlodar district - three, Terenkol and Zhelezinsk districts - two, Uspensk, May, Aktogai and Shcherbakty districts - one, said Batyrbek Aliyev, head of the regional sanitary epidemiological control department.

Measles cases have been recorded in 27 schools and 32 kindergartens in the region. Of the children infected, 84% are unvaccinated.
