Over 2,300 died countrywide in road accidents in 2024

More than 2,300 people died in road accidents in Kazakhstan within 11 months of 2024, Kazinform News Agency reports.

According to Aktoty Boranova, Official Spokesperson of the Kazakh MIA Administrative Police Committee, around 1,200 people got into the accidents on country roads.

In her words, overspeeding, crossing into the oncoming lane and maneuvering mistakes are the main causes of road accidents.

Earlier, Kazinform reported that three people died and three more were hospitalized after a road accident in Kostanay region.
