Over 300 scarlet fever cases recorded in N Kazakhstan since Jan
Scarlet fever morbidity reduced by 25% in North Kazakhstan since 325 cases were recorded in the region since the beginning of the year as compared to 433 confirmed in 2022, Kazinform Agency reports.
Besides, the region saw a decrease in chronic viral hepatitis by 14% from 114 to 98, acute viral hepatitis from 12 to 10, enterobiasis from 209 to 194, COVID by 35 times from 11, 445 to 323.
Notably, no typhoid fever, diphtheria, dysentery, meningococcal infection, hemophilus influenzae type B, tetanus, polio, rubella, mumps, malaria and a number of other parasitic and infectious diseases cases were registered in the region. At the same time, whooping-cough cases rose tenfold, while flu cases reached 11,000 and measles cases hit 23.
