He said that the Republic of Kazakhstan never interferes into other countries’ affairs.

“Everything that happens in South Korea is the matters of South Korea,” Alibek Bakayev said on the sidelines of the Majilis’ plenary sitting.

The main objective of the Ministry, according to him, is to safeguard, as much as possible, rights of the nationals, staying outside Kazakhstan, namely in South Korea.

“Despite the situation in South Korea, the nationals of Kazakhstan have not applied to the Embassy for support. There is no such information. If they seek help, the Embassy, of course, will provide all-round support to them. More than 30,000 Kazakh nationals are staying in South Korea for various purposes,” Alibek Bakayev noted.

He reminded that in case of conflicts in Israel and Ukraine, the nationals of Kazakhstan were brought to the homeland by planes sent by the state. In case of South Korea, there is no need for that, he added.

Earlier, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in South Korea called the nationals of Kazakhstan to refrain from mass gatherings.

The President of South Korea Yoon Suk Yeol declared martial law on Tuesday. Later the Korean Parliament voted to lift martial law.
