Over 4 mln tenge fines issued during New Year raids in Kazakhstan

Raids were conducted to halt illegal felling, transportation, and sale of young coniferous trees, Kazinform News Agency cites Polisia.kz.

During the "Spruce" operation, 711 mobile groups were established. A total of 2,450 raids were conducted.

As a result of the measures taken, 1,011 administrative offenses were revealed, including:

• Eight cases of illegal felling of trees;
• 574 cases of sale in unauthorized places;
• 429 cases of violation of the rules of maintenance and protection of green spaces.

The total amount of fines imposed amounted to more than 4.9 million tenge. Additionally, four criminal offenses were documented.

As reported earlier, Kazakhstan stiffened criminal liability for drug production.
