Over 50 COVID cases recorded in Kazakhstan

The epidemiological situation in Kazakhstan remains stable, head of the sanitary and epidemiological control committee of the Kazakh Healthcare Ministry Sarkhat Beissenova told a briefing, Kazinform News Agency reports.

She stressed no plague, diphtheria, poliomyelitis, typhoid, paratyphoid, and rabies cases were recorded in Kazakhstan.

Notably, coronavirus cases decreased by 5.7 times, leptospirosis by 2.5 times, anthrax fell by 46.5%, Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever by 40.6%, scarlet fever by 39%, and measles reduced by 6.3%.

Sarkhat Beissenova noted that 51 COVID cases were detected in Kazakhstan since January 1, 2025, that is seven times less as compared to the same period of the previous year.

It was earlier reported, the influenza А (H1N1) pdm09 virus dominates in the Kazakh capital this epidemiological season.
