Over 50 schools to be constructed in Almaty region by 2025

53 schools for 54,600 students are to be built in Almaty region by 2025 as part of the Comfortable School Project, Kazinform cites the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Enlightenment. 

The construction plans were discussed at the meeting of the Enlightenment Minister and maslikhat of Almaty region.

Currently, there are 1,760 educational facilities in the region, including 429 public schools.

Construction of 16 schools for 15,570 student seats has begun in the region this year in order to decrease the burden on the existing schools and offer more students seats. Of 16, nine schools have been commissioned on September 1.

On top of that, the decision to build five more schools with the support of the Ministry of Enlightenment has been made.

Minister of Enlightenment Gani Beisembayev stressed the goal is to ensure all-round development of the upcoming generation in safe and comfortable conditions.
