Over 500,000 students attend colleges in Kazakhstan, says minister

 Minister of Enlightenment Gani Beisenbayev revealed Tuesday what is done to offer Kazakhstani students in-demand professions, Kazinform Agency correspondent reports. 

Minister Beisenbayev told the Government meeting that about 531,000 students study at 772 colleges across the country. 85% of colleges, in his words, train future specialists in technical, agricultural and other spheres.

In line with the President’s instruction, 100% of college students in Kazakhstan can obtain in-demand professions for free up until 2025.

However, according to the minister, the percentage of college students offered the in-demand professions for free in Turkistan and West Kazakhstan regions is lower than in other regions.
