Over 60,000 displaced by flooding in Malaysia
Flooding has displaced 60,099 people in several states in Malaysia's north and east coast areas as of 8 p.m. local time on Thursday, Xinhua reports.
The worst affected area was Kelantan state, with 49,048 people being housed in 207 flood relief centers, according to the country's social welfare department.
Other affected states included Terengganu, Kedah, Perlis and Perak.
The meteorological department has previously warned of heavy rains till the end of November.
