Over KZT 530 bln invested in Akmola region in 2023
Akmola region governor Marat Akhmetzhanov told a briefing about the region’s socioeconomic development rates. In particular, he highlighted that KZT 530 bln was invested in Akmola region since the beginning of the year, Kazinform News Agency reports.
Industrial output grew by 13% since the beginning of the year to reach 1.4 trillion tenge thanks to growth in production in the manufacturing and mining industries. Seven out of nine industrial projects worth 41 billion tenge have been already commissioned, and another two will be put into service by the yearend.
The governor stressed the region leads in ore gold mining. Kazakhaltyn, Altyntau Koskehatu, and RG Gold companies contributed heavily to this sector. The mining industry’s overall production made 174.1 billion tenge.
He said over 530 billion tenge was challenged into the region this year mainly to the construction of two wind-power plants, railway freight transportation, and other projects. The region continues implementation of the national pool of investment projects that includes 67 projects worth 726.7 billion. The projects will create 4,600 new jobs. The unified industrialization map also contributes to opening new productions. Three projects worth 26 billion tenge will be put onstream this year and generate some 500 new workplaces. Thanks to private investors the region developed 138 projects up to 178 billion tenge and provided over 1,500 new jobs.
