Over past 10 years mutual trade turnover b/w Russia & Kazakhstan increased by 4 times — Vladimir Putin

YEKATERINBURG. November 11. KAZINFORM - Over the past 10 years the mutual trade turnover between Russia and Kazakhstan has increased by 4 times, this has been announced at the X forum of Interregional Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia by the Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"Kazakhstan became the leading trading partner for many Russian regions. Among them are the Republic of Tatarstan, the city of Chelyabinsk, Sverdlovsk and Orenburg regions. The turnover of each of these subjects with Kazakh partners equals to more than a billion dollars. This is a significant contribution to the development of Russian-Kazakh economic relations. Over the past 10 years bilateral trade turnover has increased by 4 times from USD 5.8 billion in 2003 to USD 22.4 billion in 2012", Putin said.

As noted the President of Russia investment cooperation between the two countries is developing dynamically. For example, in the first half of 2013 Kazakhstan has been invested nearly USD one billion of Russian investments. The increase in investment is 40 percent higher than in the same period of the last year.
