The meeting defined the factors keeping down trade between the two countries. In late 2007 the Embassy of Pakistan to RK organized a bus trip by the Silk Road from Almaty from Bishkek, Kashgar (China) to Islamabad. After then the delegation of businessmen, journalists and diplomats was taken to the port of Gwadar in Pakistan. ?It takes only 32 hours to get from Almaty to Islamabad, in other words this is the shortest ground corridor to the sea routes?, Chief Executive of the Trade and Development Authority of Pakistan said. According to him, this is the main way of transportation for foreign trade. The Pakistani Ambassador said his country planned to make a return trip to Kazakhstan in June of the current year through Karakurum highway. The delegation will consist of Government officials, businessmen, representatives of culture and model business. The trade caravan will spend two days in Kashgar, Bishkek and Almaty. The first day will be devoted to a cultural program, next day the delegation will hold business meetings. The Diplomat proposed KAZKA leadership to join the caravan.
