ASTANA. February 23. KAZINFORM – Martial Arts Palace will be built in Astana in 2014. That has been announced at the opening of the Winter Olympics for company group of "KazTransGas" JSC by the General Director of the company Serik Sultangali, the press service of the company reports.

"Construction of a unique complex of Combat Sport Palace buildings is to be started in March this year. I'm sure the palace will be another architectural masterpiece of the capital. This sports complex will deal with athletes from all over Kazakhstan, among them are our Olympic stars, professional wrestlers, boxers and judoists. And, of course, among them will be fans who will visit the different sports sections, and they will bring their children too ", S. Sultangali said.

The triangular form of the buildings of the Palace will be shaped to symbolize the figure of a golden eagle. In the center of the complex there will be a universal gym with a 5,000-seat multi-purpose arena, which will be for the international competitions in all types of martial arts like boxing, wrestling, judo, weightlifting and athletics. There will also be area for the jury, commentator booths and special VIP zones.

And also expected is the construction of a comfortable hotel with 40 rooms and health-sports unit including a swimming pool, SPA, fitness center with a gym. All sports halls and grounds for construction are to be according to the requirements of international sports federations.
