Parents of disabled children to be paid minimum wage ? Presentation of bill in Majilis

ASTANA. April 9. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Beginning from 2010 the Government will provide additional aid to the parents of disabled children. Minister of Labor and Social Protection Gulshara Abdykalikova has made it public during presentation of the draft Law On amendments to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on social support of certain categories of citizens.

According to G. Abdykalikova, over 45.4 thousand disabled children have been registered countrywide to date. The bill provides for introduction of a disability allowance amounting minimum wage to the parents, adoptive parents, guardian (trustees) of the disabled children. In whole the national budget for 2009-2011 envisages KZT 31 462.8 mln for increasing the support of the families having disabled children (KZT 15 096.3 mln - for 2010 and KZT 16 366,5 mln ? for 2011).
