Parliament approves ratification of Kyrgyzstan’s entry into EEU

BISHKEK. KAZINFORM - Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Parliament has approved a package of draft laws on ratification of international agreements related to Kyrgyzstan's accession to the Eurasian Economic Union, this has been reported by the press service of the Parliament.

During today's session of the Committee on Foreign Affairs under the Jogorku Kenesh, the Minister of Economy Oleg Pankratov provided his colleagues with all the necessary information. Apart from the main bill on ratification of the treaty, the Parliament has considered a number of respective documents. Deputies asked the Government members, who took part in the sitting, a number of questions relating to the timing and mechanism of the country's entering into the EEU and approved the bill. It bears to remind that the agreement on Kyrgyzstan's joining the EEU was ratified by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic at the extraordinary meeting of May 14. In addition, the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic urged the parliaments of the EEU member-states to approve the country's accession before summer.
