Parliament passed amendments to legislation on legal aid

ASTANA. November 11. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Kazakh Majilis has studied the amendments made by the Senate to the draft Law "On amendments to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on provision of competent legal assistance" at the plenary session.

The draft Law is directed to the legislation development for improvement of competent legal assistance provision for trial participants.

The Senate's amendments complement rights of the suspect, accused, counsel, and victim on presentation of petition on taking security measures. Several amendments are touched upon the Kazakh text of the draft Law.

After the discussion the Majilismen agreed to the Senate proposals. The Law was adopted.
