Parliament's work ensured legal framework to tackle socio-economic problems - President

ANA. September 1. KAZINFORM. /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has delivered a speech at the joint session of the Houses of the Kazakhstan Parliament on Tuesday.

"Effective work of the Parliament during the 2^nd session resulted in creation of the legal framework for rapid solution of socio-economic problems of the state, overcoming of the negative consequences of the global financial crisis", the Head of the State noted.

"Since holding of that session the state has allocated USD 219 billion for the crisis overcoming. This is 14% of Kazakhstan's GDP. Today we feel positive results of those measures. We've managed to support the social sphere, preserve all social commitments to the population. Through realization of the regional employment strategy with the budget of KZT 191 billion we created 393,000 new jobs. 5,000 investment projects are realized in the regions. Over the first half-year the real income of the population and the volume of pension savings has amounted to KZT 1.68 trillion", N. Nazarbayev added.
