Parliamentary elections in Uzbekistan were free and transparent - SCO Observer Mission
TASHKENT. December 28. KAZINFORM /Kurmat Samarkhan/ The Observer Mission of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization says it has revealed no violation of the process of December 27 parliamentary elections in Uzbekistan. Head of the SCO Observer Mission Sherali Dzhonosov said it at a briefing Monday.

As Dzhonosov noted, the SCO Mission considers the elections to the Oliy Majilis were free, transparent and were held in conformity with the Uzbek legislation and its international commitments.
The SCO observers got an opportunity to meet with the representatives of all four political parties and the Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan as well as to visit the polling stations in Tashkent and Syrdarya oblast.
