Pavlodar region attracts over KZT730bln of investments - governor
Pavlodar region observes positive dynamics in all key socio-economic indicators, according to governor Assain Baikhanov, Kazinform News Agency reports.
In his words, the region produces 42.5% of electricity and almost 60% of the country’s coal.
According to the governor, the volume of investments attracted to the region increased by 28.2% compared to the same period in 2022 and made 730.1 billion tenge.
85% of them are private investments, said the governor at a press conference in the Central Communications Service office.
He said the region plans to launch 20 projects worth 291 billion tenge with the generation of 800 jobs by the end of the year.
In whole, the regional authorities have formed a pool of 127 investment projects amounting to 2.1 trillion tenge with the creation of almost 10,000 new jobs.
Assain Baikhanov also informed about the work on step-by-step transition to comprehensive environmental solutions. Thus, in 9 months of this year, the volume of emissions reduced almost by 2.6% or 13,200 tons compared to the same period in 2022. Last year, the region recorded 726,500 tons of emissions.
