Pavlodar region leads in agro-industrial complex investments
815 billion tenge was invested in industry and 190 billion tenge in the agro-industrial complex in Pavlodar region, Governor Assain Baikhanov told a briefing at the central communications service, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The agro-industrial output reached 2.8 trillion tenge in the past 10 months, while the processing sector grew by more than 8%. Pavlodar region ranks among the top three in the manufacturing industry output and the top five regions of Kazakhstan in non-resource exports. It attracted 815 billion tenge in investments this year which is 30% more compared to the previous year.
He said the region is second in growth of investments and takes the lead in investments in the agro-industrial complex. A pool of 140 investment projects worth 3 trillion tenge is in the pipeline.
The governor said investment in the agri-business of the region doubled since last year to reach over 190 billion tenge.
Over 100 projects of up to 5 billion tenge are being developed in the agro-industrial complex of the region.
